New Page With Master List of All My Goals

This blog now has a new page with a master list of all the things I'm trying to accomplish. I kept forgetting half the list! So many things, so little time. And I need to update the list because some of the goals have changed and I have to add a few new things.  For example, my mandolin is falling apart, so until I get another one, that goal is on hold. And after doing Nanowrimo in November, I've decided I need to be writing every day in the hopes of getting my novels published, so I need to add that to the list.

As far as the Paleo diet, it's not for me. After listening to what Abraham-Hicks said about food and dieting, I've decided to try a new approach so I need to rename that goal or something. So onward and upward.

Making all the bling.

Getting Back To My Dreams and Goals

For a winter's day it was pleasant, if a bit chilly so I went to Pioneer Park and did some juggling. My juggling clubs weren't in the bag so I had to content myself with juggling balls. I'm so rusty that it was probably just as well. I worked on tricks with 3, then 4, then 5 balls. Well, technically they are beanbags.

Then for doing something new everyday I went to an Italian restaurant called Fina's Giussepi Restaurant in Victorville (near Kohls). I had lasagna which is my favorite.

I'm just trying to focus on the things that bring me joy, or at least used to bring me joy.

Right now though I think I should go to bed since it is 1:15 AM.

Progress Update: Cactus and Novel and Pottery Oh My

I hit quite a few of my GiveIt100 goals today, but I didn't have the time or inclination to record anything. I worked on my utopia by cleaning up the yard yesterday and today and planting the first cactus in my cactus garden. It had blown over in it's pot and looks a little sad but I think it will recover.
Cactus Jack's Garden gets its first cactus.

I didn't have time to plant the second one because I was off to pottery class. I went to the thrift store first and got a recorder for a dollar, thus meeting my musical exploration goal.

In pottery, I tried out new glazes, thus  doing something new today. I glazed a bowl, a pitcher, a drinking cup and some little bird cut-outs. This is for my 'do something creative every day' goal.

After being fired, both of these will be green.
I've also been busy writing for National Novel Writers Month. Here is the local group getting together to talk about the ins and outs of Nanowrimo.

About That Error Message on Give It 100

I just found something odd on the Give It 100 website. If I click on that red error message telling me I can't upload any new videos, then it takes me to the page where I CAN load videos.  Maybe I could have been uploading them this whole time. (Sad face).

Here is the newest one under 'Inspiration'.

Putting My Goals Here While the Give It 100 Site is Down

Once again there is some sort of bug preventing me from putting today's videos on Give It 100. Since I already started making them, I'll try loading them directly to my blog.

Goal 28: I'm working on crafts for 365 days.

Goal 18: Making things I found on Pinterest.

Goal 15: Doing something new each day.

Procrastination and Pinterest

I have been crazy busy. And the last 3 times I've tried to add stuff to giveit100.com I got an error message saying they had an internal glitch with Apple and I couldn't upload videos. So tonight before bed I checked it and it is up and running again.  So I added 2 videos I made a few days ago. But it made me wonder if I should just put all my videos here either in addition to the other site or instead of the other site, because that way I can keep track of my progress better.  That site is so hard to load with my satellite connection because all the dozens of videos try to load at once. I just imagine it sucks a lot of my very limited monthly bandwidth.

The two I added tonight were Procrastination: I finally dyed my hair. I've been putting it off 4 or 5 months and Pinterest: I started making a purse from granny squares I learned to make on Pinterest.

At least I'll get to put 2 gold stars on today's calendar. Yay.

My New GiveIt100 Record is 17 Videos in One Day

Well, I didn't make it to 33 today, but I did get to 17 videos posted to GiveIt100 and I'm mighty proud of that. I keep a calendar 'star chart' and I got to use a big star for 10 and 7 little stars. My two main roadblocks was it took me forever to get my momentum going, and just when I did my boyfriend got home from work and was packing for a trip so it was hard to concentrate. Then the sun went down. Made for some interesting juggling practice though.

I am a little worried that people will get sick of my face on the giveit100 site. It's not like I have time to make 33 videos a day anyway but I kind of feel like I'm hogging up the place.

I went to the Moose Lodge because I thought the yard sale on Saturday continued on Sunday.

White sunnies.

Skeleton tree at sunset.

The reflection makes this a double self portrait. Think about it.

Now I See Where I Went Wrong

Today I realized one of the reasons I'm not moving forward in my life is I'm not tackling the big projects. So I was going to add a goal of doing one big thing a day. Then as I mulled that over, I realized it was two separate goals. One goal is to end procrastination. But those might be small things, like redoing my nail polish, or practicing piano. So  I think I need two new goals: Do one big thing (like having a yard sale) and do one thing that I've been procrastinating on (like cleaning off my desk).

Usually my boyfriend is off on Sundays, but he had to work so I have the house to myself. So I thought I'd try something crazy and see if I can do all 33 goals in one day!  And get them posted.  That would be quite the trick. So off I go.  Wish me stamina, luck and good timing.

They May Be Bumps & Bulges But They Are My Bumps & Bulges

I had really planned to hold my list of goals at 30, but after reading one too many times about someone getting their body 'bikini ready' something inside me snapped.  So I started a 'love myself the way I am' goal. There is a 'fatkini' movement going on right now that says the only thing  you need to do to be bikini ready is to take off your clothes and put on a bikini. I plan to make a bikini. And I plan to post photos, because I'm sick of the whole body shaming thing. I don't get why other people feel it's their job to tell you if your body does not meet their expectations. Sure I'd love to look like Katie Perry in a bikini but that sure isn't happening in this lifetime.

The easiest way to make a Fatkini is to take a one piece that is just a bit too small and cut it in half. I think I have two suits like that if I didn't give them away when I moved here.

Kaleidoscope Banners

My goal is to learn to do something new everyday or go somewhere new or make something new. Today I figured out how to make these exciting kaleidoscope banners with Paint Shop Pro7. I really enjoyed working with all the colors.

The song is one I wrote the words too and my friend John Chafe wrote the music and sang.

Shining the Place Up For You

Today I had time to do some layout work on my new blog. I still need to find a way to get my extra page to show up on the tabs. If you wish to view the new page Daily Musings click the hot link. I made a new banner too.

The temperature is already climbing. I watered the garden, saw Fletcher off to work and then ran back inside to get out of the heat. I was gone all day yesterday so I have plenty to do inside the house today. Hopefully I'll get some sewing and patchwork done today as well as work on my reading goals. Trying to finish Fairy Reel before it is due back at the library.

And of course I have lots to post on Giveit100. Taking care of ones self sure is time consuming.

Sometimes one video covers multiple goals. For example, yesterday's stretching video applies to belly dancing and mime. So occasionally I'll be listing the same video more than once in a given day.

Pinterest and Fitness

I've found it easier to take the videos on one day and then  post them on the next. That way I'm not going nuts trying to make the midnight deadline. I'm a little worried that I'm getting really sick of looking at myself. Yesterday was brutally windy so I didn't take any videos. And we were in town for most of the day and I didn't think to take my camera. Still, I got 3 videos added last night and 4 today and it isn't even noon yet. There may be hope for me after all.

Every time I add a video, I put a cute little star sticker on a wall calendar. It really helps me to see at a glance how I am doing. I also want to make a 'Fitspiration' Pinterest board today. I already have 2 fitness boards, so maybe I should just changed the name on those to Fitspiration 1 and 2. Do you follow my Pinterest?

First Post

Giveit100 is a site to help you reach your goals by (hopefully) daily practice.

My Giveit100.comhttps://giveit100.com/@Zelena list was getting overwhelming, so I took a notepad and pen and wrote down everything on my list so I wouldn't have to scroll and scroll and scroll some more. There are 29 projects on there! One more and I'll have an even 30 and then I'm just not going to add any more. All these things are important to me. Half are things I already do but I'm stuck or rusty or haven't had the motivation to keep going. And when I take photos of  'all the things' I can post them on  my blog and talk about them more here.

Current craft project
Remember these things are in addition to all the mundane things I have to do each day; like personal hygiene, housework, errands, cooking meals, shopping and both paid and unpaid work. These are my dreams and goals.

I will share the master list soon. Right now I need to get on with doing the goals. (Blogging isn't one of them).
